Product Review: Philosophy 3-in-1 Shampoo, Body Wash, and Bubble Bath - Associated Content Posted: 16 Dec 2010 08:33 AM PST I've been a fan of Philosophy's body care products for as long as I can remember. Their selection of scents in 3-in-1's have grown dramatically in the past few years and I have had the fortune of being able Before I get into my scent reviews, I wanted to review exactly what I thought of the quality and consistency of the product itself. Going way back, at least five to ten years, I can almost swear that these used to be called "shampoo, conditioner, and body wash" and not "shampoo, body wash, and bubble bath". I believe they changed it because they either changed the formula or customers were complaining that it wasn't actually conditioning their hair. I've been blessed with hair that doesn't really need any kind of product or conditioning or anything fancy to make it behave. Using this product as a shampoo isn't really all that good or bad for my hair. I find it doesn't lather that well and I have to use a lot to get it to really get up a good foam; I'd say I use about a silver dollar-sized dallop or more in order to get a good lather going. Rinsing is about normal for a shampoo. I don't feel the need to "repeat" washing. My hair doesn't get tangled while using this as a shampoo. Afterward, the scent lingers faintly in the hair, but not for very long. As a bubble bath, it's pretty much on par with most other bubble bath soaps that I've used. It takes a few caps in order to get a good lather, and the scent doesn't stay long after it's been frothed up by the water. The scent doesn't stay on your skin after you dry off. I would say that it definitely works best as a body wash. I would assume that this is what most consumers use it for. It doesn't take much to get the body wash to later on a shower pouf (I haven't really used a washcloth so I don't really have a comparison) and it's not drying. The scent lingers a little afterward but it doesn't last very long.
